William Fulbright Commission invites final year law students and law graduates interested in higher study in the United States for a talk on Globalization and the Legal Profession: Benefits of LL.M. Study in the U.S. A one-year Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree helps strengthen the ability to interact with foreign lawyers and companies, or to study a specialized field. It also opens an avenue to take a state bar examination in the U.S. to seek admission to the bar. On: October 26, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. Venue: The J. Previously, Ms. Schmidt was an Associate Director at the Office of Career Services at New York University School of Law; a Policy Analyst and State Legislator Coordinator for a non-governmental organization advocating affordable health care for all; and practiced immigration law with a firm. She earned her B.A. at New York University, J.D. at University of Baltimore School of Law, and LL.M. at Washington College of Law, American University in Washington, DC.
