We are pleased to invite you to attend the CeLAPA Graduate Colloquium. The Colloquium brings together doctorate students from the Czech Republic to present work in progress and discuss important new work that promotes a foundational and critical approach to the discipline of law and social sciences. We invite submissions of research papers that are linked with our central theme: law and public affairs, namely comparative law, political and legal philosophy, political sociology and economy.
The CeLAPA Graduate Colloquium is a forum in which interdisciplinary work in progress can be explored among colleagues in a serious and thorough manner that will be truly helpful to the respective scholars. Our objective is not only to provide an opportunity for the discussion of scholarly work but also to create the opportunity for young scholars to get together. We hope that this will create synergy that fosters more dialogue, cooperation, and an increased sense of coherence for the up and coming generation of researchers. The participants in the Colloquium will consist of the respective young scholars, commentators, and faculty members of the host institutions. The overall group will be kept small enough to sit around a large table and to allow serious discussion.
The seminar is jointly convened by Martin Škop (Masaryk University), Michal Urban (Charles University) and Petr Agha (CeLAPA). The Colloquium takes place on the 11th of November at the Institute of State and Law, Národní 18, Praha at 10:00am.
