The European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) has launched an open competition to recruit lawyers with strong knowledge and expertise in European competition law (anti-trust, mergers and/or state aid) and confirmed experience in the application of competition rules and procedures in a law firm, legal consultancy, business organisation or national competition authority.
In parallel, the European institutions are looking for economists with strong expertise in industrial economics and confirmed experience in the development of economic analysis in the context of antitrust and/or merger and/or state aid procedures.
The European Personnel Selection Office recently changed its selection procedures, moving away from traditional EU-knowledge tests towards a new model focused on skills and competencies.
Full details on the eligibility criteria and the recruitment process are available on the EU careers site.
The closing date for applications is 28 May 2010 at 12:00 (Brussels time).
